Mini HIL is a self-contained Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) test bench for ECU validation. It provides the infrastructure to run closed-loop functional tests, robustness tests and diagnostic verification, without access to a physical vehicle.

This compact, cost-effective bench combines real-time simulation, signal conditioning and automated test execution in a portable platform for laboratories, R&D centres and production environments. It can simulate sensors, actuators, loads and environmental conditions, and it is modular and customizable to project requirements.

Key Features

  • Interfaces and protocols: CAN, CAN FD, LIN, Ethernet, SPI, I2C, UART, PWM, analog and digital I/O
  • Real-time simulation, signal conditioning and automated test execution
  • All-in-one mobile 19-inch rack: operator workstation, DUT bay, fault injection, breakout, loads and power in one cabinet
  • Failure Injection Rack (FIR): 108 channels, 4 fault types per channel, Virtual COM and HID interfaces, LabVIEW integration
  • Break Out Box (BOB): measurement access on up to 102 signals without interrupting the test circuit
  • Panel of Loads with approx. 30 to 50 load channels replicating in-vehicle loads (motors, solenoids, lamps, resistive and inductive loads)
  • Regulated DC power supply simulating the vehicle battery
  • Operator workstation with screen on an articulated arm, stack light, worktop and casters

Technical Specifications

Mini HIL is built around six functional slots in a single mobile rack cabinet. The key technical specifications are summarized in the Technical overview tab.
